Abduladheem Kamkar, MS, PT, OMT
Orthopedic Manipulative Physiotherapist
Abduladheem graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science in physical therapy and continued his studies at the same university and achieved Master of Science in sports physical therapy in 1992.  He completed a residency in orthopedic manual therapy in Pittsburgh with Dr. Richard Erhard in 1993. He has several publications on manual therapy and physical therapy. He has extensive post-graduate studies in manual therapy. He previously worked at Saint Francis Health system (Pittsburgh, USA) and is currently working at the Department of Medical Services, Dubai Police as head of the physiotherapy section in addition to his involvement at the Center. His special interests are in manual therapy, orthopedic, and sport physical therapy. Abduladheem has been serving as Chairman of the Emirates Physiotherapy Society since 2006 and is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association. Abduladheem has over 17 years experience in the field of physical therapy. He is fluent in English and native Arabic.

Melissa Shani, BSc. (physio)
Physiotherapist
Melissa graduated from Auckland University of Technology (New Zealand) in 2005 having completed a 4 years Bachelors Degree in Health Science (Physiotherapy). She has worked for Hutt Valley District Health Board in Wellington, New Zealand for 2 years in both inpatients and outpatients with neurological, cardiorespiratory and musculoskeletal conditions. Melissa is also experienced with sports injuries having worked with rugby league and soccer teams in New Zealand.
Wasim Labban, BSc. (physio)
Physiotherapist
Wasim graduated with distinction from the University of Sharjah in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiotherapy. He continued his postgraduate studies in the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa, and expecting to achieve his Masters degree in Neurological Physiotherapy in March 2009. He attended several postgraduate courses in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, Sports Injuries, and Neurological Rehabilitation. Wasim is experienced in treating neurological conditions and has special interest in managing neuro-musculoskeletal conditions. He is a member in the Emirates Physiotherapy Association and has over five years of experience in Physiotherapy. Wasim is Fluent in English and Arabic.
Dr. Alena Ragheb Agha, BDS
Dentist
Dr. Ragheb Agha graduated from The University of Kiev (Ukraine) in 1993 with a degree of Doctor of Medicine, Dentist (G.P.).  She has previously worked for 3 years in a dental hospital in the Ukraine as a general dentist performing general dentistry, prosthetic, endodontic, dentistry, paradontolgy, and minor dental surgeries. She has worked with adults and children. She has moved to the United Arab Emirates in 1997 and has joined the center in 2000. Although she is a general dentist, she has special interests in cosmetic and prosthetic dentistry. Dr. Alena is fluent in English, Arabic, Ukrainian, and Russian.
Dr. Tarek El Sayed,
Paediatrician
Dr. Tarek received his Masters degree in Paediatrics in 1987 from Mansoura University (Egypt). He has extensive experience in general paediatrics, emergency care in paediatrics, neonatal care, and neonatal intensive care. He also is experienced in latest advances in treatment of bronchial asthma and respiratory diseases. He can attend risky deliveries for resuscitation and paediatric emergencies in delivery room. His experience includes:
- Paediatrician in Mansoura University Hospital, Soliman Fakeeh Paediatric Hospital (Saudi Arabia).
- Senior specialist paediatrician in International Hospital of Bahrain (Bahrain 1989 for 3 years).
- Specialist paediatrician in ministry of public health Qatar.
- Specialist paediatrician in Dubai Police Clinic since 2000 to date.
He has been recognized for several achievements:
- Recognized as providing valuable educational services for student and house officer doctors in Qatar
- Participated in Maternal and child health program of Ministry of public (Qatar) in October 1998 where provided valuable effort in preparing well baby, vaccination and development file of State of Qatar which helped in the success of the Ministry of Public Health and medical Services which lead to receiving a certificate of appreciation from the minister of public health of Qatar.
- Was appointed as supervisor of child Care in Khalifa city area in Qatar in 1998
Dr. Tarek keeps up-to-date by participation in continuous medical education:

Dr. Alireza Najafi
Acupuncturist
Dr. Najafi graduated as a Doctor of Chinese Medicine in 1999  from the Canadian College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Vancouver, Canada. He specializes in acupuncture/acupressure, Tuina massage therapy and herbal medicine.
As a licensed specialist acupuncturist, he has been treating a wide range of clinical diseases, pain management, digestive problems, mens and womens health, anxiety/depression, in addition to his unique program of smoking cessation, acu-face lift/skin rejuvenation (according theories in Chinese Medicine), and weight loss.
Dr. Najafi is pleased join the team at Dr. Kamkars Medical and Physiotherapy Centre.
Ellen May Bautista, PT
Physical Therapist
Graduated from the Far Eastern University (Philippines) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1995 and a Bachelor of Science in physical therapy in 1998. She has worked previously at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Physical Therapy Center (Philippines) as a physical therapist form 1998-2002 and has experience with orthopedic and neurologic cases. Ellen had joined the center in 2002. Ellen is a member of the Emirates Physiotherapy Society. Languages spoken are English and Tagalog. |
